Prospect of the center
This university has been a source for fostering talented individuals specialized in hospitality industry, has grasped the development tendencies of the hospitality industry, achieved the education results, provided talented individuals necessary for the development of the hospitality industry, and achieved the teaching goal that students can find employment after graduation. As a result of former emphasis on hospitality professions, the planning and implementation of “Sandwich” teaching produced an outstanding educational effect. However, with the rapid development of the hospitality industry, innovation and R&D has gradually become the core value for the development of the hospitality industry.
 Theory needs the support and implementation of practice and practice needs a theoretic foundation and confirmation; therefore, the Industrial-Academic cooperation of the technological hospitality R&D Center will become an important link for the future development of this university. Based on technological and innovative R&D, this center integrates the key technologies and abilities of industrial development and develops the brand value of this university, in order to add value to the hospitality industry, so that this university becomes an essential partner for the hospitality industry’s development. Meanwhile, the results of this technical R&D and industrial-academic cooperation are encouraged in hospitality education, in order to build up new model of hospitality education, which will be the core value for the future development of this center. In order to achieve the above goals, the development prospect of this central includes:
Innovating technological R&D and pursuing preeminence
  • Developing the Kaohsiung hospitality brand value.
  • Creating value in the hospitality industry.
  • Becoming an essential partner for the development of the hospitality industry.
  • Establishing the new model of hospitality education.
In order to realize the prospects of this center, the expansion of brand rights and interests and the creation of industrial value are the core values. This center will integrate kitchen skills, hospitality, common sense, and tourism; emphasize product R&D; provide counseling for opening a shop; encourage E-marketing and cultural creativity, to create a comprehensive effect of industry value; and create a new boundary where the teacher, the industry, the student and the university all win. The technological hospitality R&D center’s core value of the development of a partner relationship chart is as shown in Figure 1.1.
